Anderson Elementary is part of the Southwest District of the Houston Independent School District. Our school offers a multiplicity of academic and enrichment programs that fulfill and enhance the needs of an ever-changing population.

The instructional program at Anderson consists of English and Spanish bilingual (pre-kindergarten - 5th.), pre-kindergarten through 1st. grade Vietnamese bilingual, 4th. and 5th. grade Dual Language, and pre-kindergarten through 5th. grade English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Special Education students are serviced through a self-contained Behavior Services Center (BSC), a self-contained generic class, and/or the Resource Center. English and Spanish Gifted and Talented (GT) students are identified and serviced by trained GT teachers. Anderson also offers Inclusion services to assist targeted students in need of small group or individual academic assistance based on teacher referral and/or Admission Review and Dismissal (ARD) committee recommendations.
