Title  1

The role of Title  1 is to primarily be a resource for students, teachers  and parents.   Title  1 serves as a liaison between the administration and community.   Thousands of dollars in federal funds are distributed into various programs.   At Benavidez students,  parents and teachers are all served on various levels, from receiving clothing vouchers to coordination national conventions trips.  In addition to these parents are encouraged to  participate in the Parent Advisory Committee.  This committee helps foster parental involvement in the school.
