"Real Men Read"


is a mentoring initiative for elementary- and middle-school students.  Its goal is to recruit male volunteers from the HISD community, who are asked to commit to read to and discuss a book with a classroom of second-, fifth-, or seventh-grade students for one hour a month. 

 

Lemonade Day

Lemonade Day is a citywide event sponsored by Prepared 4 Life (P4L) that teaches young people how to start, own, and operate their very own lemonade business while simultaneously developing life skills, character, and a sense of entrepreneurship.
