“The Burrus Fine Arts Magnet Art Program strives to provide students with an opportunity to explore traditional and contemporary art with an emphasis on minimalism as it relates to the environment. Our students enjoy painting, sculpting, figure studies, and photography here in the art studio and out on field trips.”

Every year, Burrus students win scholarships to the Glassell Junior School, part of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.  We also have winners for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Arts Contest as well as many other contests throughout Houston.
