Think Bright!

Texas Department of Agriculture Commissioner Susan Combs kicked off a statewide back-to-school “Think Bright!” campaign this afternoon at Bush Elementary. The goal of the “Think Bright!” program is to encourage kids to eat brightly-colored fruits and vegetables and to stay active. The commissioner visited with Mrs. Jay’s and Mrs. Hillman’s fourth graders in Coach Collins’ PE class. Commissioner Combs encouraged the fourth graders to start the school year off by making a commitment to healthy nutrition choices and fun, active lifestyles. The students enjoyed their special lesson and will be sharing their knowledge at home. Parents, don’t be surprised if your child wants to help you pick out brightly-colored fruits and vegetables at the grocery store!
