Music Program
The music program at Bush Elementary presents a broad curriculum of musical aspects which include singing, theory, and instrumental instruction. From Kindergarten through second grade, students are actively involved in song with movement, rhythm, instruments, and reading music notation. In the third grade, all students study recorders to hone their reading and fine motor skills. All fourth and fifth graders have the opportunity to audition for the Bush Performing Chorus, which currently consists of about 100 students. The chorus has a wide repertoire and they perform at school productions as well as throughout the community.
