Special Enrichment Programs

Specialist’s Goals for Student Achievement and Behavioral Expectations

The Specialists’ classes will provide unique learning experiences for all students. Our goal is to present exciting opportunities for every student to explore his creative self-expression in different ways. Our lessons will follow state and national guidelines for our individual disciplines and also correlate with classroom learning thereby supporting increased student achievement in all subject areas of the Barbara Bush Elementary School curriculum.

  1. The grades of E, S, N, and U will be given in each Specialist’s subject area every nine weeks. These grades will be based on the student’s compliance with the following behavioral expectations:
  2. The student will be expected to participate fully in the assigned lesson.
  3. The student will use appropriate behavior in the Specialist’s classroom thereby allowing the instructor to effectively teach the content material to all students.
  4. The student will use the classroom materials safely and appropriately.
  5. The student will respect the rights and property of other students and adults.
