Cage Elementary is a school-wide Title 1 school that is part of the Houston Independent School District (HISD), which promotes success and excellent achievement in its students. It is located in the East side of Houston. HISD is the largest public school system in Texas and the seventh largest in the United States.

The first Administration of the TAKS test is quickly approaching. TAKS Reading for grades 3,5 and 8, and TAKS Writing for grades 4 and 7 will take place on Feb 3, 2010. Keep working hard, doing your homework and listening to your teacher so that you can get Commended.
