STUDENT  INFORMATION

Student Dress Code:

Our students have a right to expect a learning environment that is safe and free of unnecessary distractions.  To promote such as environment, the following guidelines have been established.

1. The uniforms to be worn by students are:
             *Khaki pants, skirts, jumpers, walking shorts, & skorts;
             *Forest Green or gold polos;
             *Gold school t-shirts;
             *Gold/yellow button-down blouses/shirts; and
             *Forest green or tan(Khaki) Cardigan sweaters.

2. T-shirts representing approved school clubs and organizations(health club, student council, etc.) may be worn by students on days designated by the respective club or organization.

3. Most shoes are appropriate for school.  However, slides and thongs may not be worn because of safety reasons.

4. Dark glasses(sun shades) may be worn before and after the school day.  They may not be worn during the school day.

5. Radios, jamboxes, earphones, headsets, and pagers are not required at school.  These items may not be brought to school. 

ATTENDANCE:

All students are expected to attend school daily.   School policy requires that an attendance referral be generated for students with 3 or more absences or a pattern of absences.  Students with 11 or more absences or 8 unexcused absences may be subject to grade failure.  In cases of extended illness, parents must notify the school in writing and provide a written statement from a doctor.   Students returning to school after having been absent must present to the teacher a written excuse explaining the reason for the absence.

ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL :

Classes begin at 7:45 a.m. daily.  Classes end at 2:45 p.m.  Students who desire to eat breakfast at school schould arrive at school between 7:05 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.  All other students should arrive no earlier than 7:30 a.m.  Students should not arrive at school early or remain on the campus after dismissal time.  No supervision is available for students beyond the times listed.
