Language Arts/Social Studies Helpful Reminders:

1.       Reading Log~ Make sure student enters their own book. It is his/her responsibility, not yours. You are only to sign confirming the number of minutes read. Points will be taken off if students do not write entries themselves.

2.       Papers below 50~ All  papers that come in the Wednesday folder below 50 must be signed and returned the next day.

3.        Spelling Test~ Make sure to review the words missed with your child. A copy of the word list for the week is on the website.

4.      The binder should be cleaned out every week of checked papers. We will do a class clean out as we go from unit to unit. We will be doing a “shake down” in class every week. All checked papers from Language Art/Social Studies should be kept at home.

5.      AR~ There is a tab in the binder for AR. Please review the AR log weekly with your child to see what he/she is reading aside from nightly reading.
