Title 1 Parent Involvement Meeting

MARK YOUR CALENDAR!!

Condit’s last Title 1 Parent Involvement meeting will be held May 8, 2008 at 7:30 a.m. in the school’s library. This meeting will cover test results, promotion standards, and summer school. Bring your questions about your child’s test results, promotions standards and summer school; this is where you will get them answered. If you have specific questions concerning Stanford or TAKS please bring a copy of your child’s test results. Suggestions and ideas for next year’s parent meetings are welcomed too.

Junta Para Padres de Titulo I

MARQUEN SUS CALENDARIOS!!

La ultima junta en Condit para padres de Titulo I se llevara a cabo Mayo 8, 2008 a las 7:30 de la mañana en la biblioteca.  En esta junta se repasaran los resultados de los exámenes, requisitos para avanzar al próximo año escolar, aso como la escuela de verano.  Si es que tienen preguntas tocante estos temas, por favor tráiganlas a la junta.   Si es que tienen preguntas especificas tocante el examen Stanford o TAKS por favor traigan una copia de los resultados de sus hijos.  Sugerencias asi como ideas tocante juntas de padres del próximo año son bienvenidas.

                                                        Title 1

Thank you to our wonderful parents who attended the January 10^th Title 1 Parent Involvement meeting.  Our parents received information explaining the required State and HISD assessments and dates. TAKS Study Guides for Families were given to our 3^rd-5^th grade parents who attended. This resource gives our parents and students strategies to help prepare for the TAKS test at home.

  GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAM

Parent Notification letters for Kindergartners identified for the 2007-2008 school year have been sent out. Entrance Agreements will be sent to the parents who accepted the GT placement for their child and are due back to the GT office no later than May16th.

Parents of 1st – 4^th grade students who applied for the 2008-2009 GT #2 identification also received parent notification letters.

For parents who met the February 29^th deadline for GT # 3 testing in grades 1 – 4, the NNAT will be administered to your child during the week of May 5^th -9^th in my office. Parent notification will be sent during the summer.

Students at Condit who are not identified as GT may apply yearly to the program.

 STATE/DISTRICT MANDATED TESTS

In assessing previous test results, we have determined that most errors are the results of carelessness. Please encourage your child on every test to slow down and take their time.
