Meet the Fifth Grade Staff

Mr. Wilford Davis
is Fifth Grade Team Leader and Math Lead Teacher for Cook
Elementary. He is a native of Houston , TX, and a graduate of Texas
Southern University. He is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in
Education Administration at the University of Phoenix. Mr. Davis
has been an educator in HISD’s North Region since 2003. He has
always had a desire to see students reach their highest potential
not only in the classroom, but in life. In addition to being a
teacher, Mr. Davis is a very talented musician who plays keyboard,
organ, and drums. Most importantly, he is an extremely proud member
of the Cook Stallion Team!
Mrs.
Regina Meredith-Francisco
is a fifth grade reading teacher at Felix Cook Elementary School.
Mrs. Meredith is originally from Jackson, Mississippi but has spent
17 years in Phoenix, Arizona before moving to Houston, Texas 6
years ago. Mrs. Meredith received her Master Degree in Reading and
Curriculum of Instruction since her arrival to Texas. She is married
with one son. Mrs. Meredith is a dedicated teacher that has a
serious passion for teaching and thrives for success. Every child
that walks through the doors of Mrs. Meredith’s class will walk out
a success.
Shelia Smith: My name is Shelia
Smith. I am a native Houstonian. My goal is to see each child
grow to their fullest potential. I believe all children can learn
and be successful. I
received a B.S. degree from Sam Houston State University and my
Masters from Prairie View A & M University. I am looking forward to
a very productive year. I know the students will learn a great deal
and will be prepared to excel in the future.
Jacqueline Whitaker-Adams is a
native Houstonian who has been employed with Houston ISD for 13
years. I have been a certified teacher for nine years, specialized
in regular education and ESL. I received my Bachelors Degree from
the University of Houston Downtown and my Masters Degree form Grand
Canyon University. In the summer of 2008 I received my principal
certification. I am happily married with two loving boys. I
describe myself as a life long learner and express to my students
daily that each day is a new beginning. |
