The Drug Free Club is sponsored by Ms. Cook, the counselor at Cornelius.  The club meets every other week and learns about drug abuse and ways to stay away from drugs.  They watch movies, draw pictures, listen to guest speakers and participate in discussions, all while learning how to be drug free.  The club consists of members from second grade through fifth grade.  Remember: JUST SAY NO!

 Inter-Professional Drug education Alliance (IDEA) Presentations

 Cornelius Elementary is pleased to have the Houston Bar Association and the Harris County Medical Society present to our fifth graders on April 10, 2003 at 9:00am and 10:00am. They will talk about “A cooperative Drug Awareness and prevention program” as it relates to doctors and lawyers.

During the sessions, fifth graders will learn the medical ramifications of using illicit drugs. The attorneys will provide the legal implications of illegal substance abuse. These two elements are vital in a truly successful drug program.
