Directions: Using your mathematical skills, solve the following problems. Dig in and have some fun!!!
Problem     1.  
If John has five lbs , of cooked broccoli, at five oz, per serving , how many servings can he get out of five lbs?  
 
Problem      5.   
If  pumpkin vines grow up to 40 feet within four months,  how many feet does this vine grow per month? 
 
Problem     2.  
If Collard greens grow about 3 1/2 inches per month, how many months would it take to grow 4 ft? 
 
Problem      6.  
If it takes 56 gallons of water to water 8 rows of orange trees in the orchard.  How much water is used for each row of trees?
 
Problem      3.   
Amanda planted an average of 30 plants in one hour. Which is the best estimate of the number of plants she planted in 8 hours.
 
Problem     7.  
Isable planted a tree in her front yard.  When she planted it, the tree was 4 feet tall.  If it grows 3 feet each year, how tall will it be in 2 years? 
 
Problem     4.  
If an 8x8 raised bed of cabbage plants are spaced  at one square foot. How plants can be planted on this plot?  How many plants can be planted on 5 plots? 
 
 
Problem     8.  
Mrs. Smith wanted to place a fence around her garden.  In her garage she found two pieces of old garden fence.  One piece was 57 inches long, and the other was 76 inches long.  About how much fencing does she have?
