Compass Learning Update

1. (of 2) What the teacher needs to do.

After you turn on the station, log in to the Network: The default username is cornesst and the default password is password

IF you do not log on to the network at the time you enter Compass Learning you will see this window.

To correct the problem, Restart the computer and start over.

Open Compass Learning program. It is a round-white-compass icon usually named "Start"

Use your Username (First Name then Last Name) and password to get access to Compass Learning environment.

        The first time the password is the word "x" without the "

Click on the first rectangle named Compass

At the Menu Bar click on File and then Open. Open your public class.

You can use "public" class as a template / model. Then you can assign activities or tests to your students  and save this class as a "private" class. You will be the only person to  make changes to your "private" class as well as verify the reports and student performance indicators.

Using the "public" class as a template avoid to you to type all the students' information.

To assign a test or Activity, Open the Test/ Activity from the menu bar and show both windows (current window shows your class) using the option Window Tile from the menu bar.

Drag the Test/Activity to the previous selected column on the class window.

Do not forget to save the class as a "private" class.

2. (of 2) What the student need to do.

Log on to the Network and Start Compass Learning. Then use their First Name and Last Name as a user for Compass.  No password required.
