Extra!! Extra!  Read all about it.  Second graders have aced the Stanford 9/Aprenda.  Though the scores have not officially come in, we are confident that our students did an exemplary job.  Our goal was set at 3.5!  That means our students will score on third grade level.  Can you believe it.  We will count down the days until the results are officially in.  Be on the look out!  You will see us.  We will be the group of people celebrating our success!

 

In reading, we are concentrating on drawing conclusions, cause and effect, and sequencing events.  You can help your child by reading with them nightly and asking questions about what they have read.

 

WANTED!
Energetic boys and girls!  We have approximately two months remaining in the school year.  However, our time in second grade is not up.  We need your support parents to keep the students motivated and focused.  We are now moving into the phase of preparing our boys and girls for the next grade level.  Thanks in advance for your support.

 
Did I hear someone say musical?  It’s time to prepare for our end of the year musical.  We are in need of parents to assist with costumes and stage props.  If you are the one, please stop by your child’s classroom to offer support to the teacher.  We need you!  Thanks in advance for your support!
