Hello,

We have been finished the rollout for the new Heart Beeps version at Cornelius.

You do not need any shortcut in your desktop or any special installation.

TEACHER:

Just:

1. Open the website: http://www.pp6online.com:1264

2. At the window type your name and your last name. The password is the word - unquoted - "cornelius". (No Middle Initial. Click on the button "Log In"

3. Click on the Students Button and you will find your students in your class. You will find your class defined.

4. Please check names and information accuracy. You may follow the instructions on the web site to change/add students information, assign passing scores, print reports, etc.

YOUR STUDENTS:

3. Instruct the student to click on one of the icons for the practice / test, and start the program like the other Heart Beeps version.

4. Any questions? Try first with the web help. It is really useful and saves a lot of time.

Heart Beeps NEW version!

Well, The school had acquired a new version for Heart Beeps. Every teacher has been informed about that. Also, all the students’ information has been posted. To start using this new version, please check your e-mail for instructions or go to the website http://www.pp6online.com:1264/

Local Support:

We are doing the start-of-the-year first phase of local support room by room. We have a tight schedule to do that. However, if a new problem arises, please send me a e-mail to openaloz@houstonisd.org , so we can keep track of all of the requests for further analysis.

What is new?

Hello all,

Congratulations to all students and teachers for those successful partial TAKS results. We need to keep working hard using the computer lab to evaluate and reinforce Cornelius student’s to reach our goal: Keep our recognition as an HISD Exemplary School.

Also we are ready to take HISD SnapShot #4 for 2^nd 3^rd and 4^th grades. Please review the information send to your e-mail or contact me in room #23, if you have any questions.

CompassLearning Software:

We have been using Texas Explorer version for Reading and Math of Compass Learning Software aligned to TEKS objectives. Also we have schedule post-test for all of Cornelius 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th, starting second week of May.

Heart Beeps:

We finished the update of all the stations with the new version of Heart Beeps. Lets take advantage of this amazing tool typing at the address bar on Internet Explorer http://10.84.65.90:1234/. It has improved material for Science and Writing subject areas.

Local Support:

We finish the first phase of local support room by room. We can say that most of the problems with computers, printers, software has been fixed. However, if a new problem arises, please send me a e-mail to openaloz@houstonisd.org , so we can keep track of all of the requests for further analysis.

What is new?

We are working hard using our computer lab and new software to review, evaluate and reinforce Cornelius student’s concepts. We need to make the best TAKS scores to keep the success of our kids and our recognition as an HISD Exemplary School.

CompassLearning Software:

Finally we have the most recent update of Compass Learning Software aligned to TEKS objectives. We started last month with 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th graders to take advantage of this important tool for Reading and Math.

Heart Beeps v5 and v6:

We are pleased to announce Cornelius had acquired version 6 of HeartBeeps software. Currently we are upgrading all Cornelius computers to version 5 and soon we will take advantages of the new and improved version.

Local Support:

We are doing local support session room by room having computer inventory list and updating every machine with Compass Learning and Heart Beeps. I will try to solve all the problems as quickly as possible. Be patient!

Hello I am the new Technology Teacher at Cornelius and I will be happy to help you.

CompassLearning Software:

This week we will start a Pilot project with 3^rd Grade teachers. It is important to take advantage of this program.

We will know every day how the kids are doing in all major subject areas. The CompassLearning program will help our students master the Stanford and TEKS objectives.

Local Support:

All teachers are free to let me know what their technology resources needs are.

We are planning to have a session room by room take inventory and to solve every technology problem. I will try to solve all the problems as quickly as possible.
