STREET CROSSING PROCEDURES

Students must be made aware of the danger involved in crossing streets.  The following practices should be observed:

1. Cross the street within marked crosswalks or at intersections.
2. Walk on the proper signal or at the direction of a safety patrol.
3. Before leaving the curb, stop, and look both ways.
4. Walk fast and directly across the street.
5. Be alert for speeding vehicles, slippery streets, and uneven pavement.
6. Be cautious at all times.

TRAIN CROSSING PROCEDURES

1. Before crossing the train track, stop, look, and listen.
2. Walk fast and directly across the track.
3. Be cautious at all times.
4. Playing on the train track IS NOT ALLOWED.
