Bravo to Crespo’s  fourth grade students Julie Alcocer, Alexandria Darden, Marcella Flores and Jessica Hernandez for placing in the First Annual Martin Luther King City
 

These four same students went to a Wide Speech Contest and they all went to  the final round of competition.  Alexandria and Marcella placed first and second in original oratory for all of HISD.  In the same competition, Honorable Mention went to Julie in original oratory and to Jessica in oral interpretation..  In addition, all four participate in the fine arts magnet program in the art, dance, and drama disciplines.

 

Crespo’s Fine Arts Coordinator Deborah Wood states that the fine arts program prepares our students to compete successfully in competitions around Houston.
