Title I Program is the largest federal assistance program for our nation's schools. The goals of the program are to provide a high-quality education for every child . It provides extra help for students who need it the most. We are a school-wide program indicating that all students enrolled at Cunningham are eligible for services. Some of the services include free and reduced lunch, clothing vouchers and English/Spanish math and reading specialist. D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is an educational program taught by DARE certified law enforcement officers in an attempt to prevent or reduce drug abuse and violence among children and teens. Cunningham's program is taught to students in the fifth grade by the Houston Police Department..

Technology - Students in grades Pre-K-5 attend technology class on a weekly basis. They are taught a variety of skills including keyboarding, word processing, creating "Digital Books", instructional activities using the Internet, the use of a scanner, digital camera, multimedia presentations and telecommunications. Physical Education - Cunningham Elementary Physical Education Department offers a comprehensive physical development program. Multiple sports are offered as well as a fine exercise program developed by certified professional coach. The philosophy promotes Success For All. We are all winners!

Music - Mr. Dembski offers a general music program consisting of singing, playing instruments, music appreciation, action games, and music theory. Rhythm instruments are used in grades K-2 to promote an understanding of rhythm and meter. Orchestral bells are used in grades 3-5. Dance - The objective of the dance program is to Identify and demonstrate movement elements and skill in performing dance. Students learn a lot of different styles of dance such as jazz, hip hop, latin dances (salsa, merenge ,cha cha), hip hop, ballet (basic), line dancing, stretching the body (yoga), and spatial awareness, They understand that dance is a form of exercise that we need everyday. Texas Reading First Program -
The program is designed

21st Century Community Learning Center - The program provides extended learning opportunities and enrichment activities for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Activities include homework assistance, art, dance, poetry, theater arts, and sports. It's a great opportunity for students to learn new and exciting activities.
