Welcome back to school! Volunteers in Public is designed to enrich the school programs by assisting the faculty, staff and children.  When parents and teachers work together, children have a richer and more nourishing life in and out of school.  Your time and talents as a volunteer can help make this school year an especially happy and productive one for the children.  Our VIPS ( Volunteers in Public Schools)  program continues to expand, complemented by  the addition of the  Project GRAD Communities In  Schools Program, which focuses on Raising Readers, Second Cup of Coffee, and other family support activities. We also have on campus a Project Reconnect Parent Education Program, which focuses on (parent literacy programs) such as English Now, Roadrunner Club, Latino Parents Alive, and Grandparents Alive. 

The VIPS program has a long and proud history at Hartsfield.  Let's work together in this 2000-2001 school year to continue to benefit our children, school and community through our volunteers activities.
