Calendar Reminders Wed. (5/28) -    Full School Day/No Early Dismissal PTO Corner Popsicle Friday - 25-cent popsicles will be on sale on the back patio on Friday. Proceeds will support the OM Team's travel to World Finals. Birthday Club Celebration - Birthday Club members are invited to celebrate on Friday, May 16 from 2:30—3:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Join is for cake and punch! May PTO Meeting - Our final meeting will be Tuesday, May 20 at 6:30 p.m. We will meet off-campus at Poblano’s in Meyerpark Plaza, 9865 S. Post Oak. Join us for the installation of new officers, visit with new chairpersons and to celebrate another terrific year. Don’t forget to bring your binder! Herod Elementary K-2 Name That Book - Congratulations on a great effort by this years team: Melissa A, Quinn B, Bianca C, Joshua H, Muhammad M, William Reeves,  Grace S, and Syeda T. In their preliminary round, they scored a perfect 25 of 25 questions correct, but lost on the 4th sudden death tie-breaker question. Fantastic job team! BoxTop Update: Thank you for sending in those BoxTops.  Our May Class winner is Ms. Heller's class who collected approximately 882 BoxTops, WOW! Overall, we have collected approximately $1300.00 worth of BoxTops.  Please send in any other Box Tops you have collected to add even more to our grand total! Beautification Day - We cleaned up the campus, planted shrubs and repainted the map of the United States on the blacktop. Girl Scout Troup 21012 represented by leader Susan H, Emma H (4), Courtney S(4) and mom Angie S. Mackenzie A (4), Elizabeth H(4), and parents Susan and Hal H, participated with the help of Zak A (5), mom Denese A and Herod Teaching Assistant Eric Cardona. Paul and Marguerite D helped with their daughters Juliana (5) and Sophie (2). Bonnie S (5) and Jamie H also enjoyed the fun! Thanks to everyone who helped!

International Night Thursday, May 15  5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Join us tonight for food, activities, art, and performances from around the world. Way to Go Herod! Whew! We finally concluded all district and state testing for this year. We are proud of the hard work of our students, teachers and tutors. Thank you for your effort and dedication this year. A special thank you to our amazing test coordinator Ms. Palmer! Summer Registration We will be registering students for next year throughout the summer.
