Teacher Appreciation Week - This week the PTO
and our Herod Staff are taking extra time to show our appreciation for our
wonderful teachers. Want to help? Consider writing a note with your child,
donating classroom supplies or a small gift certificate, or making your
teacher something special.

Herod Elementary Name That Book
- Our 3-5 Team finished 4th in
the finals competition after winning 1st place in the
Preliminary Round where they correctly answered 23 of 25 questions.
The team consisted of 3rd grader Joel V., 4th graders - Mackenzie A.,
Dinah B., and Minh Thu T., and 5th graders - Steffannie A., Nivana S., and
Rishi W. The team’s coach was fourth grade teacher, Dianne Bissell.

We encourage you
to bring a special dish (20-30 servings) of food from your favorite
country. Food items preferred between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. We will also
have several performances by Herod students and other groups that
evening. Please join us for an evening of food, fun, and international
