National Geographic has a new kids' site. There is a variety of activities and videos for students.

Online Money Flashcards:
Students can count the coins and bills and enter the total for money counting and recognition practice in this online math skills game.

Math site for exploration for grades K-12

Great site for games to play. Includes games with some of your favorite characters.

This site has videos of how things are made. These are videos that are virtual tours of the factories. Some of the videos are how to make Jelly Bellies, chocolate, plastic bottles, and denim to name a few.

States Web Games - Learn the locations, capitals, abbreviations and over 500 important facts about our 50 states.

This is site allows you to "fly" a paper airplane. You can change variables to see how it effects flight.

FOSS-The official site for inquiry-based FOSS science curriculum. Support, resources, and fun activities. Check out this site for an activity that will help you learn about variables. Click on the the grade 3-6 banner and then click on Variables. There are lots of other activities worth checking out for students grades K-6.

Learn about geography and mapping from a whole new angle--an edible one--with these yummy map recipes and instructions. Have students work in teams to complete an edible map of their neighborhoods, villages, and towns.

100 THINGS TO DO WITH BOOKS:
Copy this list onto cardstock, then cut the separate boxes apart and use as idea cards for reading responses in your classroom. Ideas are wide and creative, from setting maps, to character interviews, or writing ten discussion questions for the novel.
