TAKS Tutorials | |
This after school program provides small group, prescription instruction for Spanish-speaking and English-speaking students in grades 2-5, who scored below passing percentages on TAKS, Stanford and/or Aprenda in reading, math, and/or writing.
Students and teachers meet in the cafeteria for a snack, then adjourn to the classes. Each student receives instructions in all subjects on a three (3) day rotation schedule. Each grade level receives 4 cycles of studies during the year.
With the extra classes, teacher participation, and parent cooperation, Janowski was recognized by the state education agency for exceptional improvement on TAKS.
