Have you ever wondered why some birds fly as a flock and others fly in the “V” formation?  Why frogs return to their original habitat to lay spawn?  You’ll find the answers to these questions and more at Kolter Elementary’s Discovery Center.  The Discovery Center serves Gifted and Talented students from kindergarten through second grade.  This center is home to water snails, guppies, and our newest addition: an Australian Tree Frog, respectfully named “Steve Irwin.”

Students attending the Discovery Center have an opportunity to explore the world around them with direct, hands-on experiences.  Science, social studies, and reading skills are enriched as the students are encouraged to become lifelong learners.
