This
is EDS' third year as one of our corporate sponsors. The EDS
Philosophy of Educational Outreach is as follows:
"Taking an active role within our
communities' schools is the cornerstone of the EDS
Education Outreach program. EDS employees worldwide donate time
as mentors, tutors or reading coaches, as well as help with
curriculum and career enrichment, staff development, technical
consulting and support, and student recognition programs. EDS
Education Outreach volunteers make a profound impact on the quality
of education by offering special attention and creative learning
experiences to students."
We, here at Love Elementary, would like to extend a sincere thanks
for all that EDS has done to help our students. Below are just a few
of the wonderful ways EDS has helped our school community.

Supply Drive |
EDS
employees graciously held a School Supply Drive for the students of Love
Elem. Upon arriving on campus, the supplies were distributed to
students in need of school supplies.

Fall
Festival |
As
part of the EDS Global Volunteer Day Program, EDS helped the Love
Elem. PTO hold a very successful Fall Festival this year. EDS
provided Moon Walks, prizes, and volunteers to man booths. See

|
Pizza Parties for Good Attendance |
EDS provided Pizza Parties for the Primary and Intermediate class
with the best attendance during the first 9 Week grading
period. EDS will provide these Pizza Parties at the end of each
grading period.

Visit
from St. Nick
|
In
collaboration with Volunteer Houston, EDS helped to provide
Christmas backpacks for the Pre-Kindergarten through third grade
students of Love Elem. EDS volunteers helped prepare the backpack
and set-up the classrooms and hallways for this special event. EDS
volunteers also visited classrooms and read "The Story of St.
Nick" to our student. Please view some of the pictures taken
