Fine Arts Programs At Lovett

The Lovett Music Department offers three Instrumental Music Programs and two Vocal Programs.  Parents and children choose which program to participate in, according to their particular interests.  None of our regularly scheduled musical opportunities fall within "academic" time.  All students at Lovett are urged by the music staff to maintain high academic and conduct grades so that they may remain eligible to perform.The choices are:

     Kindergarten:     Classroom Vocal Music

     Grade 1:   Flutophone Ensemble (Band) or
                       Classroom Vocal Music or
                       Strings

     Grade 2:   Recorder Ensemble (Band) or
                       Classroom Vocal Music or
                       Strings

     Grades 3 - 5:  Band* or Strings or
                             Classroom Vocal Music
 (No beginning strings beyond 2nd Grade)

(* Players in the Band Program receive extra instruction after 3:00 p.m. two to three days a week after entry into the Condert Band)

(**Chorus instruction is received after 3:00 p.m. two days a week)
