It is imperative that students attend school every day!  When a child is absent, he/she is missing valuable instructional time.  While it is understood that a child should be at home when ill/running fever, he/she should not miss school “just because”.

ATTENDANCE IS A PROMOTION STANDARD!

TUTORIALS - CLUBS:
THERE WILL BE NO MORE TUTORIALS FOR THE REST OF THIS SCHOOL YEAR!

SPONORS OF DIFFERENT CLUBS WILL INFORM PARENTS OF THEIR LAST DAY TO MEET.  LYONS CHOIR IS STILL MEETING – BUT THE CUB CHOIR IS DONE FOR THIS YEAR.  TECHNOLOGY CLUB IS ALSO FINISHED.

ODYSSEY OF THE MIND WILL NOT BE MEETING THIS WEEK DUE TO STANFORD TESTING.  HOWEVER, NEXT WEEK, THEY WILL MEET ON MONDAY AND THURSDAY FROM 3:30-5 UNTIL OUR SPRING SHOW.

FINAL CONCERT OF THE SCHOOL YEAR!

To accommodate the return of HISD's four-day summer workweek, summer school classes will take place now Monday through Thursday beginning on June 11 and ending on July 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.  (High schools may have extended day and/or hours)

STUDENT CAR SAFETY:
Parents, please for the safety of your children, do not let them out of the car to cross over McGallion (headed southbound) to get to school in the morning. There is too much traffic to ensure their safety, even with our hard working crossing guard.  It only takes an extra 2 minutes to pull into the circle drive where they can exit the car safely.
