Discipline Policy

CMCD, Consistency Management, is used at MacArthur to ensure that all students know the rules and signals.

Color strips (green, yellow, blue, and red) are changed for breaking rules, such as talking out of turn, not bringing homework, etc.   Consistently breaking the same rule will result in a phone call or conference with the parent. 

MacArthur Elementary follows the discipline policy as described in the H.I.S.D. Policies and Procedures concerning suspensions and expulsions.

Students with persistent discipline infractions will be asked to stay for after school detention Fridays from 3:00 - 4:30.  Any student who has been to Friday detention will be suspended.
