| Overview of Neff's Library Media Center (LMC) |
| Neff Elementary's Librarian, Susan Carnes, provides instruction in
the use of the library and reference skills to help improve student
achievement and informational literacy. Children are exposed to
different types of literature and are given an opportunity to check out
books. Students will be permitted to borrow books from the library as
soon as the signed responsibility agreement is returned by the student. As the Librarian, Mrs. Carnes also serves as a resource person to assist teachers in selecting media (books, films, tapes, magazines, etc.) for classroom use. The Librarian is available to show teachers how to find library materials before or after school. The Teacher Resource Room, houses media for teachers to borrow. These professional books and magazines, class sets of books, and science equipment will help to enhance the quality of instruction, leadership and instructional delivery. |
