TAKS TESTING
Parental involvement, guidance, and support play a vital role in the educational development
of today's youth. Helping children prepare for important exams such as TAKS Reading,
Writing and Math should be an everyday, year-round reinforcement of their skills.

Below are some helpful test-taking tips for both students and parents
that will help everyone make the grade.

TEST TIPS
FOR STUDENTS
Review notes and textbook every day.
Get plenty of rest the night before a test.
Eat a well-balanced breakfast the day of the test.
Read all the directions carefully.
Read each question twice before you answer.
If you get stuck on a hard question, continue,
come back to the difficult question later.
Check your answers at the end of the test before turning it in.
RELAX AND DO YOUR BEST!!

Emphasize the importance of homework, school, & learning.
Make sure your child has a quiet place to study.
Show interest in your child's classes.
Review materials with your child to reinforce concepts and ideas.
Offer words of encouragement and support.
