Brian Doyle, Principal Northline Elementary School is an exciting place to be if you are a student who loves to be challenged. We are currently a “Candidate” campus working towards authorization by the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. The Primary Years Program is recognized around the world for its focus on the total growth of the developing child, touching hearts as well as minds and encompassing social, physical, emotional and cultural needs in addition to academic development. The PYP is a transdisciplinary program of international education designed to foster the development of the whole child. Within our school, we have a Dual Language Immersion Program, where English-speaking students learn Spanish with their Spanish-speaking peers. We have a Developmental Bilingual Program, where our Spanish speakers learn to master their language as they progressively move into English during their Elementary years. Finally, we have an English program for English speakers who do not wish to be in the Dual Language Immersion Program. The Northline faculty and staff represent many different states in the U.S. as well as many countries around the world. The teachers’ international experiences and perspectives help Northline’s students attain a greater understanding of the world around them. |
