International Baccalaureate Organization

HISD's Northline Elementary School (821 Witcher, 77076) is going international.

The campus joined a select group of elementary schools around the world this month when it became certified to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program to its students, starting with the 2008-2009 school year.

Only schools authorized by the IB organization can offer any of its three academic programmes: The Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), or the Diploma Programme.

Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
