SDMC Meeting Minutes

March 4, 2008

Members Present:  Donna Brown, Charlotte Gifford-Weaver, Delayne McIlveen, Lisa Mendelovitz, Cappy Selig, Susan Shafer, Mary Stancel, Sonya Stevenson.

Review of SIP goals, objectives and strategies.

Waivers:  Discuss with team

·        In-service dates are from August 12-August 22, 2008

·        First Grade Waiver:  Teachers please discuss this at your grade level meeting.

PTO Auction is Saturday, March 29^th at 6:30 pm at the Fencing Center on West Bellfort.  The theme is “Parker Goes Back to the 80’s.”  Deadline to purchase tickets for $25.00 each is March 13^th.  After March 13^th, the tickets will be $30.00 each.

Follow up on early dismissal discussion-parents find after school arrangements for early dismissal difficult.

We have SDMC elections in April/May. Discuss replacement members prior to the election.  The following teachers have terms that are expiring:

·        Karen Pikett- 5^th Grade

·        Randall Bardin- Other school professional

·        Susan Shafer- Other school professional

·        Desiree Slack- Non Instructional

·        Wendy Waterman- Kindergarten

The next SDMC meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 at 3:15pm.
