SDMC Meeting Minutes
April 1, 2007
Members Present: Charlotte Gifford-Weaver, Cappy Selig, Susan Shafer, Desiree Slack, Wendy Waterman.
Review of SIP goals, objectives and strategies.
SDMC elections in April/May. The following teachers have terms that are expiring:
· Karen Pikett 5th Grade
· Randall Bardin Other School Professional
· Susan Shafer Other School Professional
· Desiree Slack Non Instructional
· Wendy Waterman Kindergarten
Budget Development Process 2008-09
a. Fiscal year July 1-June 30
b. Budget areas to discuss
· Fee for service-West Region Office, Sights/GT, LEP, Special Education, etc.
· Substitues-$35,000
· Inservices-$3,000 + in services through Professional Development (Fee for service) provided through district office services (Title II)
· SIGHTS/GT, LEP, Special Education students-depends on number of students and percent of their attendance
· Copiers-approximately $20,000
· Staffing, professional-ancillary, possibility of split grade levels (example: 2/3rd split)
· Para-professional, aides
· Supplies, materials
Next SDMC meeting will be May 13, 2008 at 3:15 pm in the library.
