Objectives:

The students will name and locate each part of a plant and describe its function in reproduction.

Procedures/Activities

1)      Name and label the parts of a flower.

2)      Locate different parts of a flower through the comparison of flower representations of different artists.

3)      Sing songs to help commit plant parts to memory.

4)      Comparing a variety of flowers, the students will identify parts in the different flowers.

5)      Construct models of flowers containing all the parts.

6)      Define the purpose of each part of the flowers.

7)      Identify the purpose of each flower part in the life cycle of the flower.

8)      Read a variety of literature containing the stages of the life cycle of a flower.

9)      Create original stories of the life cycle of a particular flower.
