Juan Huerta, 1968. BA in Art, Havana, Cuba. Leveled to the U.S. standards in 2002. Multimedia designer since 1996. Holds Teaching Certifications and has worked in the areas of Bilingual Education, Art and Technology Applications. Artist, Web designer and illustrator. As a video producer ("Kaqchikel", 2007), is currently working on a project about Cuban musicians in the United States.

Our website is based on a tableless original design coded into XHTML for CSS by using all the applications included in the Adobe CS3 Web Premium package. All the artwork is meant to resemble a virtual bulletin board and is not based on a previous template. The main colors relate to the students’ school uniform, and the illustrations, logos, design and total environment are originally and specifically created by me, Juan Huerta, for Piney Point ES and its website and are HISD property. (Panther Boy, Panthers, the bulletin board concept, etc.)

Compatibility: All the artwork, rendering and publishing are produced using Apple Macintosh computers, either professional laptops or professional workstations mainly for Safari; however, the compatibility with other web browsers is always verified. Please, let us know of any problems you might encounter.
