Leeona Leroy Pugh Elementary

L. L. Pugh Elementary is an Add-On (AOP) Science and Technology Magnet School. The entire students population in kindergarten through fifth grade is designated as Magnet. L. L. Pugh curriculum is designed to incorporate science and technology into students' present and future life. The students at Pugh are challenged to work at the highest academic level possible. All students are encouraged to use computers and science as motivational tools to increase their skills in reading, math, and language. Classroom teachers incorporate science and technology into their daily instruction to enhance the acquisition of content, thinking strategies, and learning skills. Higher level thinking skills are taught through an emphasis on students' use of scientific methodology in the pursuit of original investigations.

Every Month, Nature Discovery Center brings Science Discovery Room to the science lab where classes investigate nature outdoors using scientific methodology.
