Students were asked to create a food item and
display it in a creative way. This project was based on the Bluebonnet nominee
below. Students created their food from clay which was fired in the kiln by
Mrs. Williams, the reading teacher.

The K-2 Name That Book team placed 1st in the Houston ISD semifinals, bringing home another trophy for our school. Team members were: Bolatito Adeyeri, Cameron Gibbons, Aedan Jacobs, Sheridan Pena, Lucas Clarke, Kalyn Greer and Jaylynn Nunn. Congratulations for a great job.

SUGGESTIONS: The Meyer Park Library has a binder at the reference desk with a list of the tests we have for AR books. Students can choose books from the library and check the list to see if the book is in their reading range. They can only take tests at Red.
Check the Red School website under Library resources for the 2 by 2 list for PRE-K through 2nd grades and the Bluebonnet List for grades 3-5.
Name That Book Game

Students who read at least five Bluebonnet books competed along with team members in a mock Name That Book competition.
