Nurse’s Station
If
you received a medical referral for your child for vision or the Acanthosis
Nigricans marker, please return the form to me after being filled out by the
physician. These screenings and records are monitored by the state. Children
who have no health insurance (CHIPS or Medicaid) and whose families meet income
criteria may qualify for an Eye Care for Kids scholarship. Please contact me
for this information. It is a priority that all children see to their full
capability. Reminder: Acanthosis Nigricans is a skin condition that signals
high insulin levels in the body and is considered a risk factor for the
development of diabetes.
Cold season is upon us. Please encourage good hand washing and use of tissue at home. Children are not allowed at school unless they have been fever free (without Tylenol, Motrin etc) for 24 hours.

Please put a change of clothes in your child's backpack if he is in PK, K, or 1st grades.
·The clinic is in need of new girls’ underwear size 6 and 8. Thank you.
·Have a safe holiday. Wishing you good health in 2008!
