Fundraisers:

The Sally Foster Fundraiser will kick-off on Thursday, October 16^th. Packets with catalog and order information will be given to students at that time.  Prizes will be given to top sellers.

Entertainment Book sales is coming to an end. Please turn in money or books by October 6^th. 

Thank you for helping the PTO raise funds for school programs and special projects.

Sweatshirts:

The PTO is selling sweatshirts. The sweatshirts are available through pre-order only. Order forms are available at the school.

Membership:

We are extending the membership drive for a couple more weeks due to the hurricane. We feel that it is very important for every family to make the commitment to join the PTO.  They give us so much in return for just a small sum.  We know that it is hard times for lots of folks right now but we are hoping that you will realize the impact this organization has on the boys and girls of this school.  Our fundraisers and membership dues help support field day as well as many other events during the year.  Please dig deep and make the financial commitment to your school this year. You can send your money with your student to his/her homeroom teacher.  The contest is still running for the class with the most families to join.  Thank you for your support.

CALLING ALL PARENTS!!

Consider joining and participating in some or all of the PTO events during the school year.  These events are fun, and you will meet other parents here at school.  The PTO was created with the mission of:

● Supporting and enhancing the educational experience at S.C. Red Elementary by fund-raising and organizing school and family activities, and

● Strengthening the relationship between home and school by promoting and encouraging communications and good relationships among parents, teachers, the administration, and the community.

Volunteers still needed:  2 hours of your time.  Can you commit to just 2 hours for the entire year?  There are all kinds of ways to help the school.  If you can commit to 2 hours, please let us know.  Some tasks can be done in the evening from your home while others may be more involved. 

We have a number of openings in the PTO homeroom parent and fund-raising committees that would be a great way for you to share in your child's education.  For more information on what these committee members do or to commit to 2 hours of your time for the year.
 

Take the night off from cooking - Every second Thursday of each month is Red night at Cici's Pizza.  Cici's generously donates a portion of that night's Red family sales to the Red PTO.   Bring friends and family and have them mention Red Elementary. Every fourth Tuesday of each month is Red night at Chick-fil-A Meyerland location..

School Store - The Red PTO has great items in  the School Store.  The kids love it!  Stop by and check it out.  We are also selling Red School Store Bucks!  Give them to your child(ren) as rewards or as a "thank you."  The store is open every morning from 7:20 AM till 7:50 AM

GET IN THE LOOP

Get in the Loop - Want to stay "in the know" about goings-on at Red Elementary?  Join the Red PTO yahoo group. This is an email group hosted by the Red PTO where parents can go to get information about Red.  Anyone with a child at Red is invited to join - you will receive messages about events, activities and other items of interest to the Red community.  To join, simply send an email (from the address you want to receive messages) to redpto-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.  This email is monitored by a moderator and will be used for purposes of improving Red Elementary.
