If you have any expertise in any of these areas, we would love to have you come share and be one of our featured speakers. The school has purchased many new pieces of technology making our labs as up to date as possible. We have numerous Smart Boards, projectors, document cameras, 4 sets of eInstruction class response systems as well as new computers for the lab and classrooms. The math lab now has VersaTiles, a self-correcting practice system that builds mathematical reasoning skills, critical thinking, and problem solving strategies. The Science Lab has The Private Eye program where the students will discover the wonder of looking closely at the world, thinking by analogy, and understanding change of scale. Come see what Red’s Magnet program has to offer.
The students pictured are winners in the Red Elementary School Science Fair. The fair was a huge success with over 160 individual projects that were judged by community members, scientists from Baylor and members of the National Honor Society from Bellaire High School. The class winners for kindergarten were Mrs. Lanham, Ms. Sweeny and Mrs. Hayes. The first grade class winners were Ms. Cabrejos, Mrs. Maxie, Mrs. Clark, and Mrs. Fordes. The second grade class winners were Ms. Breaux, Mr. Munsell, Ms. Butler, and Mrs. Gardea. The multi-level class winner was Mr. Anwukah.
