| WELCOME! River Oaks Elementary is a Neighborhood and Magnet Vanguard School serving a culturally and economically diverse group of over 600 students in kindergarten through grade five. Our enriched and multi-disciplinary curriculum focuses on problem solving, goal setting, and teamw ork. We work to foster a safe and respectful school environment, while emphasizing self-evaluation, self-discipline, and respect. It is our goal that each child receives an equal opportunity to achieve his or her fullest potential. River Oaks Elementary is excited to be an authorized school for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. As such, there is a close alignment between the educational beliefs and values of River Oaks and those of the Primary Years Program.
