Students in
my computer classes learn how to keyboard, use Microsoft Office programs
(Excel, Word, PowerPoint), how to search for information on the internet
(using Ask.com, a child safe search engine), play educational games, and
use teaching programs such as ClassWorks and Orchard. They also learn
about the parts of a computer and input devices.
The students
in broadcast journalism produce the morning announcements every day. They
learn how to use all the technical equipment just like a regular TV
station and what is involved in being an anchor person.

Hurt no
living thing
Ladybird, nor
butterfly
Nor moth with
dusty wing,
Nor cricket
chirping cheerily.
Nor
grasshopper so light of leap.
Nor dancing
gnat, nor beetle flat,
Nor harmless
worms that creep.
