Students demonstrate writing and publishing skills working with multi-media and graphic software.  Original works range from:

• Publication of books, newspapers, and magazines. 

• PowerPoint projects, web design and global communication through e-pals.

School Newspaper  The Rising Star Sinclair 5th grade students published their first school newspaper, The Rising Star. The primary purpose of the newspaper is to afford students in grade 5 an opportunity to participate in an interactive publication process.  Students develop their communication, technology, creativity and interpersonal skills through this venture.  Assignments and responsibilities include the following roles:  editing, writing, illustrating, inputting data, desktop publishing, revising, interviewing, photographing and more.
