- In nineteenth century Munich
children usually went to schools of their families religion, but the
Einsteins were not particularly religious Jews. The Jewish school was
quite far away and the tuition fees were higher than at the nearby
Catholic school, so his first school was catholic.
- Because he was a dreamy student and spoke slow, Albert did not do well
in class, and his teachers considered him a bit stupid.
- In eighteen ninety-four Alberts family moved to Milam Italy, leaving him
behind to live in a boarding house to finish getting his high school
diploma. Albert became depressed from the demanding regimen of the
school as well as the German law requiring military service at the age
of 16.
