Early Life
  • Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12,1809 in Hodgenville Kentucky.
  • He only had one sister.

Growing Up
  • Abraham Lincoln was a poor backwoods farm boy.
  • Abraham went to work as a ferryman’s helper on the Ohio River.

 Laws Politics
  • In 1834 Lincoln ran for the Illinois State Legislature for a 2nd time and won. He was paid three dollars a day. Lincoln decided to study law on his own. He studied law for 3 years before passing the bar. He worked as a junior partner in John Todd start’s law office.

Married
  • Lincoln married Mary Owens on November4,1842. They had three sons… Eddie, Willie, and Thomas.

President
  • Lincoln continued in politics. November 6,1860 he ran for President. He received 86,600 and carried every northern state.

Death
  • President Lincoln was at the Ford Theater watching the play “Our American Cousin” when actor John Wilkes booth fired the fatal shot .President Lincoln died at 7:22 A.M. on April,15.
