- Paul was born in Boston about December 1734.
- Paul’s parents had 11 or 12 kids and only seven lived to be adults.
- Paul was the oldest in his family.
- Paul’s dad was a silversmith and soon he would become one too.

- When Paul was a teenager he and his friends loved bells.
- They formed a bell ringers club.
- They made rules in a formal document.
- Paul and his friends were only to ring when the warden called.

- When Paul's dad passed away he took over the silversmith business.
- Paul was now supporting his family.
- Paul’s brother Thomas worked with him.
- On August 17, 1757 Paul married Sarah Orne.
- Soon Paul joined the army.

- Paul had now established one more group the Sons of Liberty.
- The Patriots had weapons and powder.
- The British spies knew the patriots were ready for action.
- Despite the danger Paul rode to Lexington and Concord warning colonist
that the British were coming.
- Paul was recognized as a American hero and died in 1818 at the age of
83.
