- Sojourner was freed in 1826.
- In 1850 Sojourner Truth spoke at the National Women’s Right’s
Convention.
- In 1864, Sojourner Truth set up to help newly freed slave from the south
find shelter and work.

- When Sojourner was born her dad and mom got sick, but people say her dad
was as tall and strong as a tree. Her mom was 6ft tall and very strong.
